Success : Sum Of Small Steps by Saswat and Laxminarayan

All humans have some dreams and ambitions in their life which they want to get. Some have a strong desire and some have casual obligations towards the fulfillment of their dream. Life is afflicted with success and failure. Every creature on earth has its own obligations and targets. Humans are the only animals who can choose paths to follow their aims. Fulfillment of your imagination requires physical investments like hard work, faith, and determination. The quality of dreams defines the high character of that person. Generally, people got hopeless due to the hurdles that came their way and left their goal in between. One has to do persistent efforts (Bhagirathi Prayash) in order to get satisfaction with what he dreamt he had got. The whole world is an illusion and unpredictable. It should be noted that success never comes in a single effort or day; rather it takes a lot of time and focuses to be physical.
What is the thing that is obstructing one from achieving their goals? What one should do to jump over his/her obstacles?

Well! Let’s put forth some reasons and data about how to fructify our success. In true terms, success means the manifestation of one’s imagination into reality. Most of the teenagers got distracted by many professions and passions and lean towards those which were mass popular like you would ever listen that students opt for becoming a doctor, an engineer or a teacher. Besides these choices, you can find a little more but you can’t find choices like a chartered accountant, fashion designer, etc. Society and surroundings affect a lot of one's ambitions. In addition to these, the biggest hurdle in the path is one’s own inner self. Sometimes, our mind tries to derail us from our way and encourage us to change the path. One who could make a perfect balance between his heart and mind, and then only he could climb the first step of success. Success is the summation of small steps, like drop by drop the ocean is formed, brick by brick a building is formed likewise step by step success will come. The only thing one should not likely do is to give up.

How can we reach our ultimate destination? What should be our effort for our ambition?

Many times people couldn’t decide what to do for their aim. They ask different people for some advice, and the result is quite clear that they’re highly surrounded by doubts and dilemmas by the multiple opinions of multiple people. In these cases, there are more chances of losing hope. Decidophobia is a state of mind when a person can’t take his own decision (right or wrong) and grow an irrational fear of taking a decision. According to few experts, it can be seen that people often went into depressions for their wrong decisions.

Let’s try to decode a few steps to make our success follow you:

STEP 01: Fix one goal and invest all your focus and dedication towards it.

STEP 02: Divide your work into small tasks and note them down on paper. Classify the work which wants more attention and which wants comparatively less heed.

STEP 03: Give sufficient effort and time to your work and try not to leave the work for another day at any cost. Show immense sincerity in every step of your work.

STEP 04: Get away from all distractions as far as possible, like mobile phones, social media, friends, and relatives. Don’t waste time doing such odds. For example, J.K. Rowlings (Writer of the Harry Potter series) used to move to a serene place from his house to write the books.

STEP 05: Avoid hearing discouraging and idle talks and they may plant a seed of confusions and dilemmas.

STEP 06: Final and most important step, never ever acquaint anyone with your real aim as tongues are waiting to judge you and discourage you. In these situations, you should never lose heart and never give up after one fails.

Small steps are like torchlight which shows us different milestones in the road to success. One must do Bhagirathi Prayash to attain success. Like king Bhagirathi, who brought down the divine Ganga River to the Earth from Heaven by performing very harsh penance (as per Hindu Mythology), every aim aspirant should put every possible effort into his goal. One can get the same moral from the example of Sir Thomas Alva Edison, who invented the Electric bulb. He failed more than a thousand times but never left the experiment in middle. After many failures, he finally invented the electric bulb. He said that never get bored by your work rather try to hate failure, success will love you. The names written in history were not of those who left their ambition for failures, rather, the names were of those who faced failures and rose back to fight against them to get their goals. Let’s see one the Sanskrit verse which explains the right way to focus on your work. The verse is:

"काक चेष्टा बको ध्यानं, श्वान निद्रा तथैव च ।
अल्पहारी गृह त्यागी, विद्यार्थी पंच लक्षणं ॥"

{A student should be alert like a crow, have concentration like that of a Crane, and sleep like that of a dog that wakes up even at the slightest of noise. The student should eat scantily to suffice his energy needs and neither less nor more. Also, he should stay away from chores of daily household stuff and emotional attachment.}

Another similar verse that defines the value of continuous effort in your work is:

"उद्यमेन हि सिद्धन्ति कार्याणि ना मनोरथै ।
न हि सुप्तस्य सिंघस्य प्रविशति मुखे मृगाः।।"

Work gets accomplished by putting in the effort, and certainly not by mere wishful thinking. Deer certainly do not enter in a sleeping lion’s mouth. So the lion has to hunt for his food, not the food will come for him.

One can find a dozen of success stories that begin with small beginnings. One of the most well-known examples is Dhirubhai Ambani, a great business tycoon. He started with one rupee in the city and worked at a petrol station and now one can’t estimate his present status from his past records. Another example is Elon Musk (CEO of Tesla Motors), who suffered many big failures in his life, but he never gave up after his failures. He is now one of the richest men on Earth.

Success and Failure are not antonyms of each other rather they’re relative to each other. Nothing is permanent in this world. One whom you think had achieved success doesn’t mean that he had never tasted failure or vice versa. Winning and losing is just a mere opinion of others, not the conclusion. Self-satisfaction in your own work and the determination towards it signifies the real cost of your success. In our Holy Scripture, i.e., “Shrimad Bhagwat Gita”, it’s written that do your own part and move on it, never expect results. Your efforts would surely fructify your expectations.

We don’t become the best or great overnight. We need to constantly improve our craft. Ultimately, we need to do our best each day and always strive for excellence. It’s all about how much effort we put into our task and what kind of results we want to achieve. If we want to succeed, we need to be willing to do everything it takes and never give up.

The road to success is a tough one. There will be challenges and accomplishments. Not every day is the same. But we can make sure that we put a lot of effort and our whole heart into our work every single day. If we want to succeed, then we have to make it happen.

Success is much more than riches, power, or fame. It is simply the feeling of satisfaction and happiness one gets from leading a particular way of life or carrying out a particular activity. Success in any field or aspect of life can only be achieved through serious hard work and a little bit of opportunity. One of the most important recipes of success is determination and it might as well be the most important secret of success. To become successful, it is necessary to never give up until the aim of happiness and satisfaction in life is fully met. Happiness and satisfaction can be found in very different things in different people. True success means understanding our dreams and working joyfully to make those dreams come true.

FEW MORE TIPS

Many great men have suggested various ways to achieve success. But the real secret ingredient to nail success is to believe that we are already successful. With this strong affirmative thought, success can be easily achieved if we follow these three success factors:-

• We should follow our passion because that is where our heart and soul is. When we follow our passion there is no need for us to put in any extra effort.

• The path to success is always challenging. We should build confidence to face any challenging situations.

• The third and most important success factor is discipline. When we work in a disciplined manner, things will automatically fall in place.

Parameters of Success

No one can deny that the world blindly respects and trusts wealthy people. Money is the prime dynamic force that drives this world. As sooner we acknowledge and appreciate this fact the better we can perceive the betterment of our mind. Academic success is a prime concern for all in the initial part of life, especially in the school days. For those who continue perusing studies, academic success is the epitome of everything. It is mostly observed that success in personal life becomes a tough task for those who have all the riches. Here is where the common people feel successful to have a happy personal life.

Qualities for Achieving Success

One should not regret their decisions taken in the past and mustn’t stay dull by dwelling in the past. We must give sufficient time before taking any decisions/ steps and uttering words from the mouth. For making a successful decision one must ask questions to oneself like: What Do I Need to Do? What Will Be The Outcome? One must keep the emotions for success and failures intact and should not showcase it to others. Successful people never wait for applause or acknowledgment of their work as they eventually get it. To become successful one must keep friends close and enemies closer as their critics help you to improve your uncensored mistakes. A successful person never demeans the weak.

Money isn’t a measure of success?

While it is important to note that having money is a part of being successful and you can classify a rich person as being successful, money is not all, that success is about and we have a lot of people around us that are seemingly rich but still cannot be counted in the class of successful. In fact, sometimes it can be seen that not all wealthy people are not successful and hence it can be summed up that having money or not, will never sway your life goals. If this is true then we can safely conclude that success is deeper than money or other superficial and physical things can we might acquire or own. Money has very mere importance in succeeding in life and neither is it the only key to success in life.

There are certain stages in our struggle life when we feel helpless and lonely, and that was the real-time when our destiny takes our test and indicates that our destination is nearer. The only thing that our destiny demands are to bear and stand up against the rudeness of life. Executing small goals are far better than sitting idle, as life has immense opportunities than your failures. Without a try nothing walks to you, like without a dive into the ocean pearls cannot be found. The Ocean of life is deeper and large, without a dip into it is just saline water.

Success is more than just the completion of a set goal.

Life has competitions higher than ones expectations.

Without feeling, you need to curl into a ball and cry until you fall asleep.

Try to hide those rolling tears behind the eyes.

Your pain will be merged between your hardship and struggle.

But in the end it will work out for the best they could do.

There is something more, than just successful ways of living.

Many successes were written by the ink of hardship and faith.

Many men had fallen and many had stood, giving support to their heart.

Many had exemplified the happiness of getting what they desired for.
